14 NIGHTS – 15 DAYS
Day 01: Delhi
On your arrival in the capital city of India, Delhi you are received by the tour representatives who escort you to the hotel. It is the second largest metropolitan city of India with a population being approximately 13 million.
Day 02: Delhi
On the second day of your Yoga and Meditation Tour, you go for a sight seeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Places worth visiting are The Laxmi Narayan Temple – also called the Birla Temple, India Gate – a war memorial, Jama Masjid – most sacred mosque for the Muslims in India, and Raj Ghat – Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial. During evening you can enjoy the sound and light show which is held at the Red Fort. The Red Fort is made of red sandstone and it was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.
Day 03: Haridwar and Rishikesh
In the morning, you proceed towards the Railway Station in Delhi to board a train for Haridwar. It is one of the four Dhams and is situated on the banks of the River Ganga. After checking in to the hotel, you go for a city tour of Haridwar, after which you explore the Ashrams of the city. An International Yoga Week is organized here every year between the 2nd and 7th February by the Uttar Pradesh Government. Ashrams that you can visit in Rishikesh are the Muni Ki Reti Mahesh Yogi Ashram, Swarg Ashram Parmarth Niketan, Parmarth Niketan Shankracharya Nagar, Ved Niketan Yoga Study Center and Shanti Kunj Ma Anand Mai Ashram. All these Ashrams offer some great services when it comes to Yoga. You check in to one of these Ashrams after you arrive at Rishikesh. Overnight stay is arranged at the Ashram.
Day 04 - Day 07 Rishikesh Ashram
You spend four days of your Yoga and Meditation Tour at the Ashram in Rishikesh. Each day in the Ashram would start at 05:00 hours with Meditation Classes. At 07:00 hours you start with your Yoga classes. At 08:15 hours you get to eat your breakfast. At 12:00 hours lunch is served. At 15:00 hours you attend lectures on Yoga and Meditation. At 16:00 hours you take a Tea Break. At 16:30 hours you once again attend your Yoga and Meditation classes. Dinner would be served at 19:30 hours.
Day 08: Shivpuri
On the eighth day, you proceed towards Shivpuri. On arrival, you check in the Nature Camp Resort. Here you are briefed about your entire schedule at the resort. Shivpuri is a small yet picturesque town.
Day 09: Shivpuri
In the morning, you join the Yoga and Meditation classes which are followed by relaxation of the mind and body. After a yogic breakfast, you drive to Byasi/ Kaudiyala and from there you raft from the Ganges to Shivpuri. In the evening, you once again go for the Yoga and Meditation classes. Later you enjoy the campfire and dinner.
Day 10: Shivpuri
Early in the morning, you drive down to Hindolakhal while on a trek to Kunjapuri. There you join the classes for Asanas, meditation and relaxation. Post lunch, at the Resort you go for a Jungle safari to Chilla. Dinner is served at the resort.
Day 11: Shivpuri and Delhi
Early in the morning, you join the Yoga and Meditation classes. Post breakfast you raft down to Rishikesh. You eat your lunch at Brahampuri and later in the evening catch a train to Delhi from the station. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 12: Delhi-Agra
In the morning, you depart from Delhi and proceed towards Agra. En route you visit the Akbar’s Tomb at Sikandra. This location is just 4 kilometers short of Agra. Check in at the hotel and then leave for a sight seeing tour of the city visiting the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the tomb of Itmad ud Daulah. The Agra Fort is a majestic red sandstone structure. History quotes that Emperor Shah Jahan was held captive by his son Aurangzeb in this fort. Taj Mahal is a world renowned monument of love, built in white marble by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Day 13: Jaipur
Today you set out to Jaipur visiting tourist attractions of Fatehpur Sikri en route which include Buland Darwaza –a high arch like structure serving as a gateway to the city, Panch Mahal – the fort situated just opposite the Jodha Mahal and Salim Chisti’s Dargah.
Day 14: Jaipur
You move towards Jaipur en route visiting the Amber Fort enjoying the ride on elephant backs. In the afternoon, you go for a city tour of Jaipur. Places to visit are the Hawa Mahal – Palace of Winds, Jantar Mantar – an observatory, and the bazaars. The City Place of Jaipur is an imposing structure in red sandstone with a mix of the Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. It also houses an excellent museum. Hawa Mahal was a place exclusively for the royal women; it has numerous windows with intricate jaali work, so that the women could remain veiled when they watched the happenings on the streets below.
Day 15: Jaipur and Delhi
Post lunch you leave for Delhi via road. After your arrival in Delhi, you check in to a hotel, freshen up and eat your meal. Then, you are transferred to the Airport to board you flights back home.
