Himalayan Paradise ( 9 NIGHTS - 10 DAYS )
Day 1: Delhi – Shimla
Arrive Delhi and transfer by road to Shimla (370 kms / 8 hrs) the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snow capped Shivalik Mountains which offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas. Arrive & check in hotel. Stay overnight.
Day 2: Shimla
This morning you will visit Kufri situated at an altitude of 2500 meters just an hour’s drive from Shimla. Later this afternoon take a walking tour of Shimla, visit the Jakoo hills that offer a panoramic view of the town visit the Vice Regal Lodge and walk down the Mall Road. Stay overnight.
Day 3: Shimla - Manali
Today you will proceed by road to Manali (274 kms / 7hrs) a picture-perfect hill resort at an altitude of 1,929 metres. Set amidst pine-clad mountains, which gradually close in on both sides of the Beas and nestling in their shade, as though carved out of primeval forest, is a scattered hamlet, which comprises this picturesque summer resort. Stay overnight.
Day 4: Manali
This morning you may take a walking tour of Manali, visiting the 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent woodcarving. You also visit the Tibetan Monastery and the handicraft center. The rest of the day at leisure OR walk to the nearby picturesque village of Vashisht known for its hot sulphur springs. Stay overnight.
Day 5: Manali
This morning you visit the Solang Valley and the not to be missed Rohtang Pass, 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters. Enjoy this snowy haven. Evening back to Manali. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 6 : Manali – Dharamshala
Morning drive to Dharamshala (235kms/ 7 hours drive), on arrival check in at the Hotel. In the evening local tour of Dharamshala visiting the Official residence of Dalai Lama the exiled Tibetan Leader, McLeodganj, Palampur etc. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7: Dharamshala – Dalhousie
Morning after breakfast departs for Dalhousie (140kms /4 hrs.) Situated at 2039 mts in the outer slopes of the Dhaula Dhar range with its natural beauty and natural surroundings. On arrival check- in at the hotel. Rest of the day for leisure and shopping. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Dalhousie
Full day sightseeing to Khajjiar, 22 kms from. Dalhousie. Its one of the most scenic saucer shaped Plateau and is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests, its beauty has further been enhanced by a small lake in the center with a floating island and 9-hole golf course here are the other interesting places to cover. Return to Dalhousie and overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Dalhousie- Chandigarh
Today check out from hotel and drive towards to Chandigarh. After arrival check into hotel. Overnight at hotel. |
